Jemma qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2006 and took the Dental Hygiene and Therapy course at the Royal London, qualifying in 2008.During her time studying she undertook a project focusing on Sjogrens Syndrome and its effects on oral health and produced an article which was published in the BSDHT journal Dental Health. Her project gained recognition by being awarded a prize sponsored by GSK.

She joined The Dental Centre in 2009 and during this time has attended a variety of courses covering CPD subjects and a periodontal course run by highly regarded Periodontist, Paul Baker and his hygienist team.

As well as scaling and polishing and providing more advanced gum treatment, Jemma can also do air polishing to remove heavier stain deposits and give patients a brighter smile.

What I like most about my job: seeing patients on a regular basis and motivating and educating about the importance of dental health. Also working with an efficient and friendly team.

Hobbies and interests: cooking and baking, films, shopping.
